Title (Project Name): Richmond YWCA

Description: ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC, on behalf of YWCA Richmond (the applicant), submitted a federal consistency determination (FCD) for the construction of several buildings at 599 North Airport Drive in Henrico, Virginia. The proposed plans include the development of two 23,468-square-foot multi-family residential buildings, 16 townhomes, a 10,000-square-foot commercial building, and a 15,000-square-foot education facility. The subject parcel is 5.2 acres in size and owned by Henrico County within a mixed residential/commercial area. It is an undeveloped, vacant wooded lot bound by a gas station, commercial building and Henrico Fire Station to the north, single-family residences to the east, Henrico Health and Rehabilitation Center and single-family residences to the south, and North Airport Drive to the west. YWCA Richmond is applying for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) funding. The proposed activity is subject to review for consistency with the enforceable policies of the Virginia Coastal Zone Management Program.
