UPCOMING EVENTS: Agriculture Recovery Resource Days November 7 & 9
Did your farm or agribusiness experience losses due to Hurricane Helene? Agriculture Recovery Resource Days are daylong resource fairs for farmers, private forest owners, and agribusinesses that were impacted by Hurricane Helene in Virginia. Over 15 local, commonwealth, and federal agencies and nonprofit organizations will be in attendance to provide information about programs and resources that can support your farm's recovery.
The next two events are on November 7 in Abingdon at Highlands Fellowship Church, 22417 Watauga Road and on November 9 in Wytheville at the Wytheville Meeting Center, 333 Community Boulevard. If you can't find information you are looking for, you may submit a question at the bottom of this page.IMPORTANT: If you need to manage waste/debris from the storm, DO NOT place any waste along public roadways until directed to do so. This is so VDOT can come through and clear public roadways. Access is vital to recovery. EPA will be assisting in the collection of household hazardous wastes. You can prepare for debris pick up by separating your waste into these categories.
