Draft Permit Comment Period for Industrial Residuals Land Application: Synagro Central, LLC. - King and Queen, King William, & Prince George Counties

Synagro Central, LLC. has applied for the reissuance of an existing permit that would authorize the use of industrial residuals as fertilizer on 4,601.5 acres of agricultural and silvicultural land in King William, King and Queen, & Prince George Counties. The permit will limit the application of nutrients, metals, pathogens, and salts contained in these materials to amounts that protect water quality and human health.

Public Comment Period: Oct. 30 - Nov. 29, 2024

Public notice of this proposed permit action is being published in the Rappahannock Times, Tidewater Review, and Progress Index on Oct. 30, 2024. This notice will establish a 30-day public comment period in which the public is invited to submit written comments on the proposed permit reissuance to the DEQ - Central Office or to the DEQ Contact below by Nov. 29, 2024.
