DEQ publishes a number of reports that may be of interest to the public. Some reports are required by statue or regulation, while others are special reports that are requested by the General Assembly. Duties and powers of the VRRBAC are pursuant to Code of Virginia § 62.1-69.34. This report provides information regarding the VRRBAC’s activities during the 2022 calendar year. The VRRBAC did not meet from December 2021 to December 2022. |

| 2022 Review of Supply and Demand for Stream and Wetland Mitigation Credits and Incentivizing Dam Removal Projects in Virginia This report, prepared by a DEQ-led workgroup at the request of the Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources, addresses issues related to the review of the supply and demand for wetland and stream mitigation credits and incentivizing dam removal projects in Virginia. The request was pursuant to three pieces of legislation proposed during the 2022 General Assembly session: HB 276, HB 479, and HB 1283. Note: the workgroup’s examination of the issues raised in HB 1283 will be reported under a separate cover. |
