FY 2025 Solicitation Updates

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Annual Solicitation of Applications for financial assistance through the Stormwater Local Assistance Fund (SLAF) closed on October 1, 2024. Applications are currently under evaluation and the DEQ Director will authorize the Project Funding List no later than February 3, 2025.

The Stormwater Local Assistance Fund (SLAF) provides matching grants to local governments for the planning, design, and implementation of stormwater best management practices (BMPs) that address cost efficiency and commitments related to reducing water quality pollutant loads.  Eligible capital projects types can include:

  • New stormwater BMPs
  • Retrofits of stormwater BMPs
  • Stream restoration
  • Low impact development projects
  • Buffer restoration
  • Pond retrofits
  • Wetlands restoration

The SLAF program can also be used to fund the purchase of permanent, certified non-point source nutrient credits.

Applications will be solicited in years that a state appropriation is available.
