Adjacent landowners are given a 30-day comment period in which they may provide written comments on the proposed permit actions below 33 days from the day the postcard is postmarked.

Middle Peninsula Treatment, Inc. has applied for the issuance of a permit to include 191.0 acres of agricultural land at one site. The permit would authorize the land application of biosolids and water treatment plant residuals as fertilizer to a specific site in Middlesex County. 

Public Comment Period: Oct. 31 - Dec. 2, 2024

Public notice of this proposed permit action is being published in the Southside Sentinel on Oct. 31, 2024. This notice will establish a 30-day public comment period in which the public is invited to submit written comments on the proposed permit issuance to the DEQ - Northern Regional Office or to the DEQ Contact below by Dec. 2, 2024.

DEQ accepts comments by hand-delivery, e-mail, or postal mail. All comments must be in writing and be received by DEQ during the specified comment period. Submittals must include the permit number, and the name and postal address or email address the commenter.
