VPA Public Notices
Opportunities to participate in public meetings and to provide public comment are listed below. DEQ is required to notify landowners residing adjacent to any proposed new land application sites about proposed permit actions. Adjacent landowners are given a 30-day comment period in which they may provide written comments on the proposed permit actions below 33 days from the day the postcard is postmarked.

Summary: Middle Peninsula Treatment, Inc. has submitted an application for a permit to authorize the land application of biosolids and water treatment plant (WTP) residuals as fertilizer to 191.0 ac of agricultural land at 1 site in Middlesex County at controlled rates that are protective of water quality and human health, in accordance with the VPA Permit Regulation, 9VAC25-32.

How to submit comments:
DEQ accepts comments by hand-delivery, e-mail, or postal mail. All comments must be in writing and be received by DEQ during the specified comment period. Submittals must include the permit number, and the name and postal address or email address the commenter.
